British retail company Marks & Spencer teams up with global non-profit organization Oxfam to create “Clothes Exchange,” a promising avenue for shoppers to enjoy their fashionable pursuits while doing their part in helping charitable institutions and caring for the environment.
With “Clothes Exchange,” customers simply bring any of their unwanted M&S clothing, shoes, or bags to be “recycled” in exchange for a voucher entitling them to a £5 discount upon spending at least £35 or more on clothing, home, or beauty products by M&S.
Since its inception, Clothes Exchange is said to have avoided dumping over 2,500 tons of unwanted M&S clothes into landfills.
